feastofnoise.com 2.0

The Feast Of Noise after taking a break for a few months has returned. We wrapped up our last acoustic shows over at Mr. D's back in July and we just figured it was time to just get away. Once again I tried to run the NYC Marathon, and got a little closer to 5 hour. 5 hours and 15 minutes or so this time. So a large chunk of my time was spent running around White Plains.

Regardless, the bigger issue is or was no venue. We did a bunch of Sunday acoustic shows at Mr D's but once again dead. The Haunt, that amazing room right down Yonkers Avenue from Mr. D's, sadly imploded. Taxes, power bills, stuff like that caught up with them. I was hoping at the beginning of 2009 to do a show or two there-not the case.

So you add up no response to the acoustic shows and no venue for the louder stuff and I decided to go running.

So what is next?

Well we are not racing to promote any shows. I still have not worked out where we would do that. I do have some ideas on how and where to do shows. We might go get a PA, but my budget and situation is slowing me down on that. Meanwhile more and more I am looking at the web and pondering what is next. For those of you who have followed the Wild West and all, we started by trying to bring Bernie Torme over here to the US. In the process, we discovered some amazing acts in the NY metro area. Today, while trying to promote some of those acts and shows, I am wondering how do you use the web to inform a local audience about such shows and all.

So that is where we are-intrigued with what the web is doing to newspapers, music, and TV viewing. So I look at those trends and factor in those bands and talent from around NY metro area and that is what the Feast Of Noise is going. In short, if you have any interest in what is going on regarding rock, metal and punk in the NY metro area, you might want to check out Feast Of Noise.

So we evolve again, and we have drawn that line in the sand. Stay tuned. We might surprise you.
