Greetings from the Wild West - Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all! Hope your holidays were good!
I just wanted to touch base at the start of the new year!
Last year I brought back the Wild West website proper (www.wildwestrocks.com ) and added to it a streaming 24/7 web radio station -Wild West Rocks (aka Wild West Radio).
2012
was also a year of going back to the streets. Many of the bands I
booked a few years back are gone. None are what they were ten years ago
and that has been a challenge. That said, there are
new acts and talent. 2012 was a year of experiencing Pete Townsend's
lyrics, "Rock is Dead, Rock is Dead. . . Long Live Rock!"
In
2013. the Wild West needs to get back to the promotion of live music.
Further, I want to bring the Wild West, and the bands and artists it
works with to an audience that today does not know we exist today. It
was shown in 2012 that far larger powers (The Capitol Theater) do have
faith in Westchester County, and they are thriving! And their pursuits
do not compete with the Wild West, which focuses on local artists in
more intimate settings.
In short, there is work to be done and the Wild West is looking forward to 2013!
