Shows from the Past and Artwork. . .

Unlike today where the Wild West don't do nada in regard to live shows, in 2008 and 2009 we were pretty busy. We had the shows at the Haunt, and Mr G's and even a show or two up in Danbury at Cousin Larry's. We had some good shows back then. We had some stinkers too no doubt.

Rummaging through some old files on the PC, I came across a few of the show posters recently and figured I would share them.

Back in 2008, we even tracked down an artist to help us out with the posters and artwork. A guy who was over at Westchester Community College and then SUNY Purchase, I believe working on a Fine Arts program. Harry Palacio who graduated a year or two ago now I believe. Anyway he has the cool stuff below. He did the Trainwreck artwork which I really did love and that was used on a bunch of things, the UFO-which I always thought interesting for acoustic shows, and the blue bats in the bell tower. In addition there is one that Alan Rand put together for me, way back in 2005. And then we have the first show we did that was with the Sex Slaves in 2005.

Regardless, it was cool putting those shows together, lining up the bands, getting the word our, putting the posters together and then running around slapping them up. And regardless of what is or is not happening now, it is fun to run down memory lane, at least for a moment.

Check them out and if you like them do check out Harry's current stuff - http://turnstileeyes.wordpress.com/ . For more of Alan Rand's photography and artwork go to  http://www.alanrandart.com/
